- Chat online with a girl in California.
- Find out that you like her, but she's attached. You keep an eye on other girls, but keep in good touch with Cali girl.
- Tell Cali girl you loved her first. (wins!)
- Spend a lot of time chatting online in college.
- Meet each other's family.
- Drag her to KS.
- Help her move out of your own bedroom into her own apartment
- Finish college, putting up with her complaining she has to drive more because your an RA and can't leave the building most weekends
- Graduate
- Get married renfest style at Shawnee Mission Park
- Move into a better apartment closer to work
- Ask how to make huge batches of iced tea.
- Listen to story about how her mom makes the best sweet tea
- Put it off. Sounds like a lot of work.
- Move to a different apartment.
- Forgot you asked once and ask the tea question again
- Nod and smile through the story, after all, you asked.
- Still sounds like a lot of work
- Have a son, move into a house
- Curse when you go out to eat at tea costing 1.19 to buy, knowing it takes less than a time to make.
- Have identical twin girls, become a stay at home dad because it's cheaper than paying for daycare (and more fun!)
- Ask...yet again...the iced tea question.
- Listen again to the story, but this time, as she's talking about it, get it done.
- Get large pot and serving vessel
- Pour water into the serving vessel
- Pour water into pot
- Crank the heat, getting little bubbles to appear at the bottom of the pot, but not boiling
- Tie 6 tea bags together, discarding the paper and paperclip tops
- Toss the teabags into the empty pot, then pour the hot water into the empty pot.
- Add Splenda/Sugar to your hearts content (we use 2/3 to 3/4 cup per gallon)
- Cover and steep 30 minutes.
- Uncover and toss teabags out
- Let cool
- Pour into serving vessel
- Put vessel into fridge, or serve immediately with a ton o' ice
Pink and I chug down a gallon of the stuff roughly every 2 to 3 days. Delicious, cheap, though we slowly decrease the Splenda amount till we get it right.
