Toddler Balls (Funny Conversations You Have With Your Children)
This was a discussion I missed out on last night when I was at work. We've all been talking about what to get Cousin K for her birthday party next weekend. We've also got to pick up some preschool supplies for the dude, so we're combining it all into one big trip.
So last night, Pink and Little Blue were figuring out what to get Cousin Katie for her birthday. Here's word for word what Pink messaged me minutes ago.
Pink: You know what, I totally forgot to tell you the hilarious thing your son said last night when we were talking about shopping for Katie. He was thinking of ideas what to get her for her birthday.
DaddyMan: All boy toys?
Little Blue has been on a Transformer kick, so naturally that's what I thought he'd say. "I know, lets get her Optimus Prime" or something similar.
Boy was I wrong.
Little Blue's reply: "I know! We should get Katie a ball! She's always saying Where ball, Me want ball, where ball, and every time she comes over, she's always messing with my balls!"
The house shook with my laughter. Little Blue wanted to know what I was laughing at, and the girls just looked at me with there, "What's that?!" blank expressions.
But it's still good to know, that even though I'm not here, I still have a presence...
Pink's next message: Your devoted wife didn't even crack a smile. But if you had been there, I wouldn't have been able to contain myself when our eyes met, I would have lost it.
