DaddyMan at home is...
- Cleaning the ice and snow off the car at 6am so Pink can go to work in the morning... knowing you won't drive it into work until 5pm
- Cursing at the cost of high calorie infant formula
- Cursing that said formula doesn't come in the huge cans like regular formula
- Calculating the cost of diaper brands for the cheapest cost per diaper
- Being surprised that the cheapies don't result in blow outs as much as Pink and I thought they would
- Scheduling trips to Costco for family staples
- Getting dressed at 3pm for work at 5pm
- Putting on an undershirt only until it's time to go to work, in case you get spat up on during the "just before work" feeding
- Chuckling to yourself when you fix your sons lunch in the same style lunch tray you got to eat out of during school lunches when you were a tot
- Starting the dishwasher before you go to bed
- Taking out the trash, emptying the dishwasher, feeding the cat, starting a load of laundry, taking a shower, making a breakfast bottle for more awake baby, all before everyone else wakes up
- Enjoying the site of my son dashing to the bus because he's so eager to ride it
- The holler of "Dadeeee!" when he comes off the bus from a good day at school
- Chucking at the sad walk he does when he gets off the bus, knowing he's got to tell me he went into the "safe spot" at school
- Enjoying/dreading the girls talking in baby babble when it's time to go to bed
It's all good, every last minute of it.
